Preferences

This menu allows the user to configure their @MESSAGE environment to suit their personal needs.

  • Spool Mail: Specifies how server mail will be retrieved.
  • Name for outgoing messages : This designates the user's name or alias other than the email address when mails are sent.
  • Character set : Character set for Outgoing Message
  • REPLY-TO: Specifies which e-mail address the user's mail will be set.
  • Forwarding : Enter e-mail address to receive forwarded messages.
  • PAGE Size : Specifies how many messages will be displayed per page.
  • Automated Mail Check : @MESSAGE will display the number of new messages at the bottom of the browser for the logged in user. Users can specify the periodic mail check time interval for new messages. The default interval time is 20 seconds.
  • Number of Attachments : Users can set the default number of attachments for Compose, Bulletin message/post, and Personal Storage.
  • Return Receipt : It will check the status of sent message if it has been opened by the recipient. Upon the feature's activation, there will be time stamp of when the recipient has opened the message in the Sent box.
  • Optional Mail Deletion : The user can decide which method of deletion, either for temporary deletion to Trash or permanent deletion.
  • Compose Editor : Sets the default HTML editor from standard HTML or MSIE DHTML editor.
  • E-mail/Bulletin message view method : You can choose if you want to read the E-mail/Bulletin message in a new or existing window.
  • Mail Server: Specifies the SMTP server to be used when sending mail.
  • Encoding: Determines how the message title and content will be encoded.
